Apple Opens iPhone 18 Pro Pre-Orders as A20 Pro Chip Debuts
Pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max have begun, introducing Apple's first 2nm processor, the A20 Pro.

Pre-orders for Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max opened on Saturday, according to GSMArena. The outlet noted that premium Apple models rarely receive discounts and typically not this soon after release, so early buyers can expect to pay list prices.
Both models are built around the A20 Pro, described by Android Authority as Apple's latest flagship processor and by GSMArena as the company's first chip made on a 2nm process. The A20 Pro runs at close to 5GHz, peaking at 4.93GHz, and has posted strong Geekbench results, GSMArena reported. Apple also highlighted the chip's AI processing capabilities, and according to Android Authority the company claimed the processor "sets a new bar for mobile computing."
