Apple Opens iPhone 18 Pro Pre-Orders as Android Rivals Cut Prices
Apple began taking pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, its first devices built on a 2nm chip, while rival flagships from Samsung and Google saw price drops.

Apple has opened pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. According to GSMArena, the pre-order period began on Saturday, though Apple's online store was already listing the models ahead of the official September 12 start.
The two Pro models are powered by the A20 Pro, described by GSMArena as Apple's first processor built on a 2nm manufacturing process. The chip runs at close to 5GHz, peaking at 4.93GHz, and recorded high Geekbench benchmark scores. Apple says the new devices offer longer battery life, with the Pro Max seeing the largest gains, and the cameras include a variable aperture.
