Bending Spoons to Acquire Amsterdam-Based Miro in $1.36bn All-Cash Deal
Italy's Bending Spoons has agreed to buy collaboration software firm Miro at an enterprise value of about $1.36 billion, well below the startup's 2021 valuation.

Milan-based technology group Bending Spoons has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Miro, the Amsterdam-based collaboration and workspace software company, in an all-cash transaction valuing the business at roughly $1.36 billion, or an enterprise value of €1.7 billion, according to reporting from Sifted, TechCrunch and EU-Startups.
The price marks a steep drop from Miro's earlier valuation. TechCrunch reported that the company was valued at $17.5 billion in late 2021, meaning the deal comes in about 90% below that figure.
Under the terms of the agreement, which was unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both companies, Bending Spoons will acquire all issued and outstanding shares of Miro. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals, including regulatory clearances.
