
Bethesda Maps Out Fallout and Elder Scrolls Roadmap Amid Xbox Layoffs
Bethesda has outlined years of upcoming projects, including Fallout 5, The Elder Scrolls 6, and remasters of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, following Microsoft's layoffs affecting a quarter of its staff.

Bethesda has laid out its plans for several of its best-known game franchises, publishing a note in the wake of layoffs at parent company Microsoft. According to GamesIndustry.biz, the statement came from Todd Howard, executive producer and game director at Bethesda Game Studios, and covers the studio's roadmap for the years ahead.
That roadmap includes Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls 6, alongside remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas and a Fallout Shelter television show, GamesIndustry.biz reported.
According to TechPowerUp, the studio confirmed in a statement posted to X that two Fallout remakes — of Fallout 3 and New Vegas — are currently in development, with Fallout 5 described as the studio's long-range destination. Bethesda also said it is working with Obsidian Entertainment on a new Fallout project. Engadget likewise reported that Obsidian is developing a new Fallout game while the Fallout 3 and New Vegas remasters are on the way.
