China-Modded RTX 5090 With 96GB Memory Appears as German Prices Top EUR 5,000
A Chinese firm is reportedly selling RTX 5090 cards fitted with 96GB of memory for $3,888, even as standard 5090 prices climb past 5,000 euros in Germany.

A modified version of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5090 fitted with 96GB of memory has reportedly surfaced for sale in China, priced below the cost of a standard card in some Western markets.
According to Tom's Hardware, the modified board is offered by Shenzhen Suqiao Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., described as a Chinese OEM/ODM. The company is said to be listing the card on Alibaba for $3,888. That represents three times the memory of the original Blackwell flagship and, per the report, about 35% less than the retail price of a standard RTX 5090 in the United States.
Tom's Hardware noted that Chinese factories have previously produced other memory-upgraded graphics cards, including versions of the RTX 5080 with 32GB, the RTX 4090 with 48GB, and the RTX 3090 with 48GB. The outlet linked much of this activity to demand from AI workloads, which has encouraged the repurposing of existing GPUs with larger memory capacities. It described the 96GB RTX 5090 as more technically plausible than earlier, more extreme rumors such as a 128GB variant.
