Several major US-listed companies have raised objections to a proposed tokenized stock platform from OKXICE, a joint venture between crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), according to reporting from Cointelegraph and CoinDesk.
Cointelegraph reported that Alphabet and Microsoft are among the firms adding objections to the proposal. Andrew Cuomo, the former New York governor who co-chairs the OKX-ICE venture, addressed the pushback in comments reported by CoinDesk. He said companies were expected to take a wait-and-see approach, characterizing the corporate objections as a natural response to the tokenized stock plans.
