Cryptocurrency exchange BitMart plans to close its trading operations after nearly nine years, according to reports from Decrypt and BitKE.
The company said it will stop all trading on August 26, 2026, and shut down completely on January 31, 2027. Deposits and new account registrations have already been suspended, while withdrawals will stay open until the final closure date, BitKE reported. BitMart pointed to a review of its operating conditions, the market environment, and its future strategic direction, but did not give additional details.

During the 2020-2021 bull market, it expanded to offer spot and futures trading, staking, lending and NFT services, and grew to users in more than 180 countries, according to BitKE.
