
dLocal Ghana Wins Enhanced Payments Licence to Expand Local Operations
The Ghanaian arm of Uruguayan payments firm dLocal has secured an Enhanced Payment Service Provider licence from the Bank of Ghana, allowing it to run more of its business locally.

The Ghanaian subsidiary of Uruguayan payments company dLocal has obtained an Enhanced Payment Service Provider (EPSP) licence from the Bank of Ghana, according to TechCabal. The authorisation lets the company handle more of its payments operations within the country.
Under the licence, dLocal Ghana can offer local payment collections, merchant acquisitions, mobile-money acceptance, bank-transfer collections and local payouts through both bank accounts and mobile-money wallets. Before the approval, the firm had processed Ghana-related payment flows via its global platform and regulated third-party partners.
