
FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Draws Record 38.9M US Viewers as Camera Production Scales Up
Fox recorded 38.9 million viewers for the Spain-Argentina final, while HBS deployed more than 125 cameras and a decentralised, 16-venue production model.

The final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 reached a record audience of 38.9 million viewers on Fox, according to TVTechnology. The match saw Spain defeat Argentina, with the winning side later parading the trophy through Madrid before large crowds, as reported by Sports Video Group (SVG).
The tournament spanned three host countries, 16 venues, 48 teams and 104 matches. For the final, host broadcaster HBS scaled up its coverage to a plan of more than 60 cameras, adding extra replay and aerial capabilities across the opening ceremony, half-time show and multi-city segments. Counting the ceremonies, half-time show and supporting productions, more than 125 cameras operated in and around the stadium on the day of the final, which SVG dated as Sunday, 19 June.
