Google's Find Hub Adds Gemini-Powered Notes for Items You Can't Track
Part of the September Android Drop, the feature lets users save and recall the locations of untracked objects using voice and photos.

Google is expanding its Find Hub tool so users can keep track of items that lack any digital connection, such as a passport, a spare key or a birth certificate.
According to Android Authority, the update is part of the September Android Drop announced by the company. Find Hub already lets people locate connected devices, from smartphones and earbuds to dedicated item trackers, through a single interface. The new option extends that to physical objects that cannot be tracked electronically.
Users will be able to make a note of where they left an item, and those notes appear within Find Hub. The feature works with Gemini, so people can save and later recall an item's location by voice. There is also an option to attach a photo showing where the object was placed. Android Authority reports that the capabilities are coming soon to devices running Android 16 or newer.
