Homey Adds Over-the-Air Firmware Updates for Matter, Zigbee and Z-Wave Devices
The smart home platform now lets users install firmware updates for Matter, Zigbee and Z-Wave devices directly from a single app.

Smart home platform Homey has introduced a feature that lets users install over-the-air firmware updates for connected devices directly from its app, according to Android Authority.
The capability, called Device Updates, supports devices using the Matter, Zigbee and Z-Wave protocols, covering thousands of products from multiple manufacturers. It is available with Homey app version 9.10.0 and later, as well as through the Homey web experience.
Updates for Zigbee and Z-Wave devices are delivered through their respective apps within Homey. Matter devices receive updates via the Connectivity Standards Alliance's Distributed Compliance Ledger (DCL).
