INLEAP Photonics raises €20M to scale laser-based counter-drone systems
The German deeptech company will use its seed funding to expand manufacturing of laser systems that neutralise drones threatening defence sites and critical infrastructure.

INLEAP Photonics, a German deeptech company, has raised approximately €20 million in a seed round to scale its laser-based counter-drone technology. The financing will support applications in defence and the protection of critical infrastructure.
The round was led by UVC Partners, with participation from Germany's HTGF, Poland's Balnord, Estonia's Sentris and Denmark's Scale Capital.
The company develops high-precision, ultra-fast laser beam steering systems designed to neutralise unmanned aerial vehicles. Its technology targets both military use and the safeguarding of civilian and critical sites, including airports, energy facilities and data centres. INLEAP frames the work against rising demand for counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) as drone use grows and concerns increase over the risks drones pose to defence and civilian locations.
