
K2 Space Raises $500 Million at $6.8 Billion Valuation for Large Satellites
The Series D round more than doubles K2 Space's valuation in seven months and will fund production of up to 100 large satellites per year.

Satellite manufacturer K2 Space has raised $500 million in a Series D funding round, lifting its valuation to $6.8 billion, according to Ventureburn and SpaceNews.
The new valuation is more than double the figure the company reached after its Series C round, which Ventureburn dated to December. SpaceNews reported that the increase came within seven months. The company was founded four years ago by co-founder and chief executive Karan Kunjur alongside his brother, Neel, around the premise that larger satellites, rather than smaller ones, would prove central to future space missions.
