LemFi, a fintech founded in Nigeria that provides financial services to immigrant communities, has obtained approval from UK regulators to proceed with its acquisition of the investment platform Wealth8, according to Finextra Research.
The deal illustrates the deepening commercial ties between African-founded technology companies and the European market, particularly the United Kingdom, where a large diaspora population represents a key customer base for cross-border financial services.

According to Finextra, LemFi has received the regulatory clearance needed to purchase Wealth8, a platform focused on investment services. The approval from UK authorities marks a procedural milestone that allows the transaction to move forward.
