
Milan's Beelzebub raises €3M to counter AI-driven cyberattacks
The Italy-based cybersecurity startup, founded by Mario Candela, secured a seed round led by United Ventures to expand its team and open offices in Rome and San Francisco.

Beelzebub, a Milan-based cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform to defend organisations against AI-driven cyberattacks, has raised a €3 million seed round led exclusively by Italian deeptech investor United Ventures.
The financing follows a €300,000 pre-seed round backed by strategic investors and advisers, taking the company's total funding to €3.3 million.
Beelzebub said it will use the capital to grow its research team, open commercial offices in Rome and San Francisco by the end of the year, and pursue clients across Europe, with a focus on organisations regulated under the NIS2 Directive. The company has also started developing technology to protect AI agents directly.
