
Nigeria's Data Entry Academy Wins UNDP timbuktoo EdTech Accelerator
Lagos-based Data Entry Academy topped 1,429 applicants to claim the $10,000 first prize at UNDP's pan-African edtech accelerator in Dakar.

A Lagos-based edtech startup has emerged as the top winner of the United Nations Development Programme's Get Ready 4 timbuktoo EdTech accelerator, signalling growing momentum for African digital-skills ventures at a moment when investors and development institutions are sharpening their focus on the sector.
Data Entry Academy, founded by Chioma Ifeanyi-Eze, secured first place and a $10,000 award after outperforming a field of 1,429 applicants from across the continent, according to TechCabal. The company edged out finalists from Egypt and Senegal, which took second and third place respectively, during a pitch event held on July 1 in Dakar, Senegal. A second Nigerian startup, Varsity Scape, finished sixth among the ten winners.
