PS5 Emulator KytyPS5 Runs GTA 5 at Up to 60 FPS on PC Before Crashing

The pace of progress has been notable. About a month earlier, GTA 5 was still stuck at its splash screen, having previously reached only its in-game menus in July. Beyond GTA 5, several other PS5 titles have been shown running at 60 FPS on the emulator. Tom's Hardware lists current playable games as Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, Pac-Man World Re-PAC, and Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons.

KytyPS5 is described as the most prominent PS5 emulator at present. A second major project takes a slower route, prioritising low-level accuracy and infrastructure before individual game compatibility. The activity comes as no PC version of Rockstar's forthcoming GTA 6 has been confirmed. TechPowerUp notes that even at the current rate of progress, a playable build of GTA 6 on these emulators is unlikely to arrive any time soon. Separately, GamesIndustry.biz reported that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console sales rose in the UK following the GTA 6 reveal on Netflix.
