Robinhood CEO's X Account Hacked to Push Fake 'Vladhood' Token
Vlad Tenev's X account was compromised to promote a fraudulent memecoin, as speculation surges around Robinhood's new blockchain network.

The X account of Robinhood chief executive Vlad Tenev was compromised and used to advertise a fake cryptocurrency token, the company confirmed, describing the post as unauthorized.
According to BitKE, CoinDesk and Decrypt, the now-deleted message promoted a token called Vladhood ($VLAD), presenting it as the official mascot of the company's Robinhood Chain initiative and falsely stating it would be listed on the Robinhood app. The post also included a blockchain wallet address. Robinhood worked to take down the fraudulent message shortly after it appeared, BitKE reported.
The incident coincides with heightened speculative trading around Robinhood's recently launched blockchain network. BitKE reported that the network has drawn more than $700 million in assets, accompanied by a wave of memecoin activity and token launches. Decrypt described the fake token as the latest fraud to target a network currently dominated by memes.
