Robinhood's crypto trading volume increased 61% from the previous month to reach $17.5 billion in August 2026, according to the company's latest operating data reported by BitKE and Decrypt.
The figure marks a recovery from a softer July 2026, but it stayed under the levels seen a year earlier. On a year-on-year basis, August 2026 volume was down 38% compared with 2025.
Breaking down the numbers, crypto trading via Robinhood's own app rose 72% to $7.4 billion, while volumes on BitStamp grew 53% to $10.1 billion.
According to BitKE, the results highlight how sensitive Robinhood's crypto operations remain to overall market activity, even as the company broadens its offerings beyond spot crypto into areas such as prediction markets and tokenized assets. Decrypt reported that the company's fastest-growing business is no longer traditional trading.
