Samsung has reported stronger European sales for its latest large-screen foldables, saying that combined sales of the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra are 50% higher than sales of the single Galaxy Z Fold7 during the same period last year, according to GSMArena.
The company had already flagged an early lead in August, when it said European pre-orders for the Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8 came in 20% higher than pre-orders for the Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 a year earlier. GSMArena noted that the newer 50% sales figure covers only the two Fold models and does not include Z Flip sales, unlike the earlier pre-order comparison. It also pointed out that the current lineup pits two Fold devices against one from last year.
