A social media post from Michael Saylor has prompted speculation that Strategy could resume buying Bitcoin after halting purchases for roughly two months.
According to Cointelegraph, Saylor's "We're Back" message hinted that the company may return to accumulating Bitcoin following a pause that had allowed it to shore up its balance sheet.
Decrypt reported that a rally in Bitcoin to around $79,000 pushed the value of Strategy's holdings, 840,447 BTC, to approximately $2.8 billion above the company's cost basis. The outlet noted that Saylor's post added to expectations that the firm might restart its buying program.
CoinDesk reported that Bitcoin recovered from a low reached on Friday as Strategy's valuation grew and Bitcoin's share of the total crypto market rose above 60%.
