SpaceX is moving toward the next flight of its Starship vehicle, with the company targeting a launch as early as July 16, according to reporting from SpaceNews. The upcoming mission, designated Flight 13, is intended to validate fixes addressing problems encountered during the previous test flight, while also attempting to place functioning Starlink satellites into orbit.
What the Mission Aims to Achieve
The planned flight carries two central objectives. The first is to demonstrate that engineering changes made after the prior launch resolve the issues identified during that attempt. The second is to deploy operational Starlink satellites, a step that would mark progress toward using Starship for routine payload delivery rather than test flights alone.
