Swiss space manufacturer SWISSto12 has closed a Series C funding round worth $70 million, or roughly €61 million, according to reporting from EU-Startups, SpaceNews and Ventureburn. The company, headquartered in Lausanne, says the capital will help it scale its multi-orbit payload and satellite business as orders from both commercial operators and government clients continue to climb.
The raise carries weight for the Europe-focused space supply chain, and by extension for the broader Africa↔Europe technology corridor, where demand for connectivity infrastructure spanning multiple orbital layers is expanding. Satellite systems capable of serving telecommunications, direct-to-device connectivity and sovereign communications needs are increasingly viewed as strategic assets across both continents.
