amber positions its technology as infrastructure for autonomous AI in business, enabling systems to understand organisational context, identify user intent and carry out workflows across enterprise data. According to Tech.eu, the platform is built around a proprietary AI Data Layer that creates a unified view of information across different systems before large language models are applied. By supplying models with structured, relevant business context, the approach is intended to improve the accuracy of answers while reducing the volume of unstructured data the systems must process.

The company describes the underlying problem it targets as one where corporate data remains fragmented across multiple systems, which limits AI models' ability to grasp business context and deliver reliable results. Tech.eu also noted the related risk that organisations lose institutional knowledge when experienced staff leave or retire.
