AI Startups Draw Fresh Billions as Mistral, Forus and Wonderful Close Rounds

A wave of new funding has landed at artificial intelligence startups on both sides of the Atlantic, according to reporting from Sifted, TechCrunch and Ventureburn.

France's Mistral confirmed a €3bn Series D round that values the company at €21bn, Sifted reported.

In the United States, Forus raised $150 million in Series C financing in a round led by Bain Capital Ventures, according to Ventureburn. The financing values Forus at $3 billion, a threefold jump from its earlier valuation, and lifts its total funding above $300 million. Returning investors included Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel and Redpoint, alongside BoxGroup, Pear VC, Vast Ventures and SV Angel. Bain Capital Ventures has supported the company since its seed round. Forus operates an AI network intended to improve access to medicines, connecting doctors, pharmacies, payers and biopharma companies. The platform assigns an AI agent to each prescription to navigate insurance requirements, financial assistance programmes and pharmacy and supply chain steps, drawing on clinical models and specialised sub-agents that learn from millions of prior cases. The company said it plans to use the money to expand its platform nationwide and to invest further in its technology and team.
