Three startups on both sides of the Atlantic have announced new funding rounds in October 2026, each applying artificial intelligence to a different industry.
In New York, Hyphenate raised $45 million in a Series A round led by Nexus Venture Partners, according to Ventureburn. The company, previously called Maximor, adopted the Hyphenate name at the start of October 2026. The round brings its total raised to $54 million, following a $9 million seed in September 2025 that was led by Foundation Capital with participation from Gaia Ventures and Boldcap, plus angels including Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas and Zuora founder Tien Tzuo. Founded in 2024 by two former Microsoft employees, CEO Ramnandan Krishnamurthy and co-founder Ajay Krishna Amudan, the company builds AI agents that sit on top of existing systems such as banks and payroll to record ledger entries and reconcile accounts, without requiring companies to replace their ERP software. The name references finance processes such as Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay.
