Amazon's Prime Day event has brought notable discounts on consumer electronics, including a Samsung foldable phone and a PC storage drive.
According to Android Authority, Amazon has reduced the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 to $989.99, down from its recommended retail price of $1,199.99. The outlet described this as the lowest price for the device since its launch. The report cited the saving as $220, an 18% discount off the recommended retail price. (The headline figure of $210 noted in the same coverage differs from the $220 stated in the body text.)
Separately, TechPowerUp reported that the Biwin Black Opal NV7400 M.2 NVMe SSD is available with reductions of up to 28% off on select capacities during the US Prime Day, which runs on October 6th and 7th. The outlet noted that NAND flash prices have been rising for months, making the event a chance to buy storage below prevailing market trends. The drive uses a PCIe Gen 4x4 interface and is aimed at users expanding game libraries, upgrading laptops, or building high-end systems.
