Anchorage Adds Custody for Tokenized Uranium via Etherlink

According to Anchorage, uranium has historically been hard for investors to access directly because physical exposure typically involves specialist intermediaries, extended settlement cycles, and comparatively high minimum investment amounts. Tokenization shifts settlement onchain, and the bank said transactions in tokenized uranium can be transferred and settled within minutes rather than weeks, which it said could reduce the operational friction of traditional uranium trades.

The European Central Bank has introduced Pontes, a settlement system linking its payment infrastructure to blockchain-based markets, with full implementation targeted for 2028.
