
Apple Issues Emergency Carrier Fix as iPhone 18 Pro Reports Point to Soft Demand
Apple has pushed an emergency AT&T carrier update for iPhone 18 Pro Max units on iOS 27.2 beta, while separate reports suggest it has asked suppliers to cut component orders.

Apple has released an emergency carrier bundle update, version 72.0.3, for iPhone 18 Pro Max devices running the iOS 27.2 beta on AT&T, according to GSMArena. The release follows an earlier carrier update numbered 72.1 for devices on iOS 27.0, which arrived a week prior, while handsets on the iOS 27.2 beta had remained on version 72.0.2.
GSMArena reported that some iPhone 18 Pro Max owners on AT&T had experienced problems including loss of access to calls, texts and data, as well as an "SOS" indicator appearing in the status bar. Apple had previously issued iOS 27.0.1 together with a carrier update intended to address such issues.
