ASUS Marks 20 Years of ROG With OLED Xbox Ally X20 and First Gaming Soundbar
ASUS has opened pre-orders for the anniversary ROG Xbox Ally X20 with a 7.4-inch OLED screen, and launched its first gaming soundbar in the US.

ASUS has unveiled new gaming hardware to mark the 20th anniversary of its Republic of Gamers (ROG) division, headlined by the ROG Xbox Ally X20 handheld and the company's first gaming soundbar.
Announced at gamescom, the ROG Xbox Ally X20 is an upgraded version of the company's flagship handheld. According to Tom's Hardware, it will sell as a standalone system for $1,299.99, while a bundle including ROG Xreal R1 Edition 20 AR glasses, a dbrand Killswitch case, and a custom Pelican case will cost $2,499.99. Pre-orders are open now, with availability set for October 15 through the ASUS Store at Best Buy.
The main change from the original is a larger 7.4-inch OLED display, as reported by Engadget. Tom's Hardware notes further updates including a translucent shell, a transforming D-pad that shifts from 4-way to 8-way, TMR joysticks, and rubberized grips. The internals remain unchanged: the device retains the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor. The original ROG Xbox Ally X, released in the fall of 2025, continues to sell for $999.99, putting the new model at a $300 premium before any bundle add-ons.
