Belgian startup Logibot raises €1.4M for a 'temp agency for robots'

The software covers the full automation process. It analyses existing operational flows to identify opportunities for automation, validates performance inside a digital twin before physical deployment, trains the machinery for a specific task, integrates units into ongoing workflows, and provides continuous monitoring through remote teleoperation.

The company frames its product against a labour shortage across European logistics. Warehouses, sorting hubs and distribution centres often struggle to fill physically demanding roles, particularly at sites far from the labour market. Temporary staff can cost up to 40 per cent more than permanent hires, while high turnover and repeated training add to operating costs. Roughly 2.5 million people across Europe still perform manual logistics groundwork, such as sorting parcels and moving cages.

According to Ventureburn, Logibot operates with a seven-person team based in Zellik.

Motion, which offers humanoid robots on a subscription basis, plans to move its five Belgian pilots into commercial deployment and grow its fleet across Europe.
