Binance is broadening its move into traditional financial markets by introducing foreign-exchange perpetual futures, giving users the ability to trade currency exposure at any time, including weekends and public holidays.
According to BitKE, the first contract will be USDBRLUSDT, which tracks the U.S. dollar against the Brazilian real. It is set to go live on September 21 2026 and will be settled in USDT. The contract will allow leverage of up to 100x and will carry no expiry date or rollover requirement.
To keep the contracts trading while conventional FX markets are shut, Binance plans to use a dual pricing method. During standard FX hours, prices will draw on third-party market data, while on weekends and holidays the system will apply an exponentially weighted moving average of Binance's own order book prices.
