Binance has invested $100 million in Circle, the company behind the USDC stablecoin, as part of an expanded five-year commercial agreement to promote and integrate the token across its platform. The deal was reported on September 22, 2026.
According to a regulatory filing cited by BitKE, Circle issued Binance 1.24 million Class A shares priced at $80.84 each through a private placement on September 17, 2026. Binance is restricted from selling, assigning, pledging or transferring the shares for up to two years, subject to specified conditions.
Under the arrangement, Binance will promote USDC and integrate it into additional savings and investment products while offering incentives around USDC trading. Circle will supply the infrastructure supporting the holding and use of the stablecoin, and will pay Binance monthly incentive fees tied to USDC held through its Modular Smart Contract Wallet infrastructure. The agreement replaces earlier deals the companies reached in November 2024 and August 2025.
