
Binance Takes $100 Million Stake in Circle Under Expanded USDC Deal

Binance has taken a $100 million stake in Circle, the company behind the USDC stablecoin, under an expanded five-year agreement to promote the token across the exchange, according to reporting by BitKE, CoinDesk and Cointelegraph.
Circle issued Binance 1.24 million Class A shares at $80.84 each through a private placement dated September 17 2026, according to a regulatory filing cited by BitKE. Under the arrangement, Circle will pay Binance monthly incentive fees tied to the amount of USDC held through its Modular Smart Contract Wallet infrastructure, while Binance has agreed to carry out further activities to promote the stablecoin.
