Bitcoin briefly rose above $85,000 on September 21, 2026, its highest level since January 2026, extending a recovery from the prior week's selloff. The cryptocurrency gained more than 5% over 24 hours before easing back, according to BitKE.
The move followed a rebound from roughly $75,000 on September 15 to above $80,000 by September 18.
