
Bitcoin's BIP-110 Enforcing Fork Stalls After Just Two Blocks

A Bitcoin fork tied to BIP-110 has stalled shortly after activation, mining only two blocks before slowing to a near-standstill, according to reports from Cointelegraph and Decrypt.
The change entered a mandatory signaling phase, a deployment milestone designed to test whether nodes enforcing the rule can sustain it despite minimal backing from miners. Cointelegraph reported that miner support sat below 3%, with the enforcing fork remaining stuck at Bitcoin's full mining difficulty.
Decrypt reported that the breakaway chain attracted about 2.53% of mining support. As a result, its blocks were being produced hours apart, and the chain was roughly 350 days away from a difficulty adjustment, while the main network continued to operate normally.
According to Cointelegraph, the limited miner signaling has prompted discussion of a hard-fork fallback as an alternative path for the proposed change.
