BitMine Immersion Technologies will stop buying Ether once its holdings reach 5% of the cryptocurrency's circulating supply, according to Chairman Tom Lee.
Speaking at the Token2049 conference in Singapore, Lee said the company is close to that ceiling after amassing around 6 million ETH, equal to roughly 4.9% of supply. According to CoinDesk, Lee said BitMine would be "done stacking" once it owns 5% of ETH. Decrypt reported that the firm is about 100,000 ETH from the cap, which the chairman estimated at six to seven weeks of buying.
The accumulation campaign, which started in mid-2025, has made BitMine the world's largest Ethereum treasury. BitKE reported that the company recently bought another 15,112 ETH for about $41 million, lifting its total to 6,016,414 ETH.
