
Boldr raises €4.2 million to turn home heating systems into grid capacity
The London-based energy management startup will expand its smart climate technology into North America and build out its contractor software platform.

Boldr, a London-based energy management startup, has raised €4.2 million ($5 million) in a pre-Series A round to grow its technology for connecting residential energy equipment and turning it into flexible capacity for the power grid.
The round was led by Unconventional Ventures, with participation from Ada Ventures, Tetrad Ventures, Davidovs Venture Collective, Roxbury Asset Management, the Inclimo Climate Tech Fund, Prosegur, Techstars, the S20 Fund and PropelX, according to EU-Startups. Tech.eu additionally noted the involvement of strategic investors from the North American HVAC industry. The financing follows an oversubscribed €2.7 million ($3.2 million) seed round raised in 2025.
