Bungie Signals Renewed Focus on Destiny, Concedes Marathon Undersold

Bungie has released a video titled "The Next Chapter for Bungie" in which studio leadership outlined upcoming changes and indicated that the Destiny franchise remains part of its plans, according to TechPowerUp.

Studio head Poria Torkan and Josh Deane, Marathon's new general manager and head of product at Bungie, opened the video by acknowledging that the studio had lost sight of its heritage and of the communities built around its games, citing Destiny as an example. Torkan said the studio had lost trust and colleagues, and that its ambitions had stalled, TechPowerUp reported.

The video framed Destiny as foundational to Bungie's future. Engadget reported that Bungie leaders now say the studio is not done with Destiny.

Bungie also addressed Marathon, admitting the game had undersold. According to Engadget, the studio told players that Marathon would continue to grow and improve.
