
Callosum Raises $100M Seed Round Led by Atomico for AI Compute Platform
The Cambridge-founded UK startup builds infrastructure to run AI workloads across different chips and models, following a $10.25m round in February.

Callosum, a UK artificial intelligence startup, has raised $100m in a seed round, an unusually large sum at the seed stage in Europe.
The round was led by European venture firm Atomico, with participation from early-stage investor Plural, US firm DCVC, the UK's Sovereign AI, and a number of angel investors, according to Tech.eu. The financing comes after Callosum secured $10.25m in February when it emerged from stealth.
Founded by Cambridge neuroscientists, the company is developing software infrastructure designed to let AI workloads run across different chips and AI models. It argues that this approach is faster and cheaper for solving complex, real-world problems at scale.
