Crypto.com has raised $400 million from Citadel Securities in what the exchange describes as its first institutional funding round, according to CoinDesk. The transaction values the digital-asset platform at $20 billion.
The deal marks a notable point of convergence between traditional financial market infrastructure and the cryptocurrency sector. Citadel Securities is one of the world's largest market-making firms, and its participation signals continued interest from established financial institutions in digital-asset trading venues.
