Good Tape, a Copenhagen-based AI transcription company, has raised €600,000 from Nordic Makers, an investment group backed by former unicorn founders that deploys its own capital into early-stage Nordic startups with an average ticket of €500,000, according to EU-Startups.
The round accompanies a management buy-out through which Good Tape's founders acquired the ownership stake held by Zetland, the Danish member-funded newsroom that incubated the business. The transaction makes Good Tape an independent company.
Alexander Aghassipour, co-founder of Zendesk, led the investment for Nordic Makers and has joined Good Tape's board. Tech.eu reported that Aghassipour previously served as Zendesk's Chief Product Officer.
