The latest cryptocurrency rally has moved beyond Bitcoin and the largest altcoins, with gains spreading into smaller tokens and speculative memecoins as traders shift capital further down the market-cap curve, according to BitKE.
Bitcoin's climb above $80,000, alongside a sharp move in Ethereum, helped create a broader risk-on mood across the market. Ether rose by close to 19% over a 24-hour period at one point, while XRP and Solana each recorded double-digit gains, BitKE reported.
The newest phase of the rally has been driven by smaller and less liquid tokens, which have delivered far larger percentage gains than Bitcoin and other major coins. BitKE said several smaller animal-themed memecoins climbed between 50% and 130% over a week, while Cash Cat, a token based on Robinhood Chain, rose more than 50% in a single day.
