CuspAI Raises $450M Series B to Build AI Materials Foundry
The Cambridge-based deep-tech startup reached a $2.6 billion valuation in a round co-led by Kleiner Perkins and NEA, with backing from Jeff Bezos.

CuspAI, a Cambridge-based startup, has raised $450 million in a Series B funding round to launch an AI Materials Foundry, according to Ventureburn.
The company applies generative artificial intelligence to design new molecules and materials, targeting applications that range from clean energy infrastructure to advanced microchips. Materials used in AI chipsets, such as ultrapure silicon, have traditionally taken years of laboratory trial and error to develop, and CuspAI aims to shorten that process.
The round lifted CuspAI's valuation to $2.6 billion. Ventureburn reported the figure had risen from $520 in September 2025, though the outlet did not specify the unit for that earlier number.
