Emerald AI has raised $150 million in an oversubscribed Series A round that values the company at $1.05 billion, according to Ventureburn. Energize Capital and DCVC co-led the financing.
The round also drew strategic investors from the global energy and technology sectors. Ventureburn reported that 12 Fortune Global 500 companies are now among the company's investors and that these backers also sit on Emerald AI's Strategic Advisory Board. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate commercial deployments worldwide.
Emerald AI builds software designed to make data centres act as flexible electricity consumers. Its Emerald Conductor platform manages AI workloads alongside onsite energy resources, adjusting power consumption when electricity grids come under stress while protecting critical AI computing tasks. According to Ventureburn, the approach could help data centres secure power connections faster and ease pressure on local grids during peak demand.
