A wave of funding announcements has landed across European startups working in artificial intelligence infrastructure, life sciences and semiconductors, with rounds ranging from under €2 million to more than €13 million.
In Denmark, Odense-based AI startup Velatir raised €5 million to expand its infrastructure platform across Europe and enlarge its team. According to EU-Startups, the company said the round closed in two weeks. It was co-led by new investor Spintop Ventures and existing backer Ugly Duckling Ventures, with participation from Norrsken Evolve and angel investors Jan Oberhauser (n8n) and Thomas Visti (Universal Robots and MiR). The Danish Export and Investment Fund (EIFO) provided a matching loan, as reported by Tech.eu. The financing arrived six months after Velatir's pre-seed round and its commercial launch. Founded in 2025 by Michael Sørensen, Elias Sørensen, Christian Møller and Andreas Paulli, Velatir is building an integration layer intended to help companies adopt AI while maintaining traceability and compliance, particularly under the EU AI Act. The platform brings together AI security, policy enforcement, usage monitoring and discovery in one system.
