
European and US Startups Draw Fresh Capital Across Deep Tech and AI
Three funding rounds spanning breath diagnostics, agritech and AI legal tooling highlight sustained investor appetite for science-driven ventures on both sides of the Atlantic.

A series of newly announced funding rounds underscores continued investor interest in deep tech, agritech and artificial intelligence, with startups in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and the United States securing capital to scale their platforms. The deals span early-stage pre-seed backing through to a large late-stage financing, reflecting a broad spread of maturity across the sectors.
Health and Agritech in Europe
In the UK, Respiro Diagnostics has raised £1 million in a pre-seed round led by Zinc Venture Capital and SFC Capital, according to Tech.eu. Additional backers included Amadeus Capital Partners, the Conception X Angel Syndicate, KQ Labs via the Francis Crick Institute, strategic angel investors and Innovate UK. Founded by Alison Quinn and Dr Theo Issitt, the company is building a non-invasive platform that examines exhaled breath to detect lung cancer and other respiratory conditions.
