
European Biotechs AbTx and Big Picture Bio Raise Seed Funding for Cancer Therapies
French startup AbTx secured €1.7 million while London-based Big Picture Bio emerged from stealth with €2.55 million, both targeting new approaches to cancer treatment.

Two European biotech startups have announced early-stage funding to develop cancer therapies, according to reports from Ventureburn and EU-Startups.
AbTx, a French biotech founded in 2024, raised €1.7 million (about $2 million) in a seed round, as reported by Ventureburn. The company focuses on precision treatments for solid tumors that have not responded to standard care. The funding is intended to support clinical development of its patented Therano-Stick platform, which uses enzymatic bio-conjugation to produce miniaturised antibody-drug conjugates, referred to by the company as fragment drug conjugates. AbTx also received the i-Lab award, which Ventureburn described as public validation for its oncology platform.
