
European Startups Draw Cross-Border Backing for Care, Space and Fintech
Recent funding rounds show US and European investors backing startups across end-of-life insurance, satellite repair and AI-native finance.

A cluster of recent funding rounds highlights how startups across Europe are attracting capital from investors on both sides of the Atlantic, spanning insurance technology, spacetech and financial services.
Stockholm-based Solace Care, which operates an end-of-life platform, raised a pre-Seed round of €2.1 million, described by EU-Startups as the largest to date for a European platform of its kind. The company plans to expand its insurer and broker partnerships, enter the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and grow its product and commercial teams. Spintop Ventures led the round, with participation from Plug and Play and several angel investors, including Caroline Farberger, former CEO of ICA Försäkring, and Fredrik Solberg, former CEO of Eir Insurance. According to EU-Startups, the round arrives amid continued European investment in insurance technology, with more than €199 million raised across adjacent deals over the past year.
