European Startups Raise Seed Funding for Quantum and AI Health Ventures

According to EU-Startups, co-founder and CEO Dr. Heorhii Bohuslavskyi said that scaling superconducting quantum computers is approaching a hard limit because current systems rely on power-hungry room-temperature electronics and separate wiring for each qubit. He described bringing classical control and interface hardware into the cryostat, close to the quantum chip, as the clearest path forward, and positioned superconducting transistors as the missing component enabling that integration.

Separately, Clementine, a Maastricht-based startup founded in 2024 by Vince van de Weijer, raised €1.7 million (about $2 million) in Seed funding. The round was led by Healthy.Capital, an Amsterdam-based early-stage HealthTech investor whose portfolio includes Pharmi, MS Sherpa and OpenUp. Also known as ClementineAI, the company operates an AI platform designed to help hearing clinics convert leads into patients. Its system is built around an AI agent named Matthew, which engages prospective patients around the clock, answers questions, and guides them toward care while reducing administrative work for clinic staff.

Healthy.Capital managing partner Douwe Jippes said the startup pairs domain expertise with an AI platform strategy that can scale globally, according to EU-Startups.
